At first glance, you might not be able to tell the difference between the Kubota LX Series and the L01 Series. We can’t blame you. The Kubota L01 Series features decades of innovation and reliability and it’s a main reason why Kubota has been the #1 selling compact tractor brand in the USA the last ten years running. A steel hood, fenders, chassis and heavy-duty front axle all lend their strength to the series and its four available models: the L2501, L3301, L3901 and L4701. You have the option of 2WD and 4WD in the L01 Series, as well as a gear-drive transmission and a three-range hydrostatic transmission. Horsepower starts at 24.8 in the L2501 and climbs steadily to 47.1 horsepower in the L4701, accompanied by dominant PTO horsepower and auxiliary hydraulic flow, which let you make use of a wide range of attachments and implements on properties anywhere from five acres up to 50.

But how does it differ from the Kubota LX Series? The all-new Kubota LX Series is built to be an even more affordable and capable option than the Kubota L Series. Whether you opt for the Kubota LX2610SUHSD, LX2610HSD, LX3310HSD, LX2610HSDC or LX3310HSDC, you’re getting an incredible amount of value in your compact tractor. Horsepower starts at 24.8 in the LX2610 models and maxes out at 30.8 in the LX3310 models available. You’ll still have PTO horsepower, hydraulic capacity and a large selection of attachments needed to care for properties between three and 10 acres. Both can function well as residential tractors, but the LX Series fits the role of a residential mowing tractor better than the larger models in the L01 Series.

The final verdict? When you’re looking for the most power and the premier compact tractor experience, it’s the Kubota L01 Series that’s tried and true. However, the Kubota LX Series offers a strong price point and many of the same features you’d find in the L01 Series. At the end of the day, they’re both outstanding compact tractors that are sure to take your performance to the next level. After all, they’re Kubota tractors.
